Ekovir 800 is an antiviral agent from the group of synthetic analogs of the acyclic purine nucleoside, dep guanidine, which is a component of DNA. Pharmacological action - antiviral.
Indications for use Ekovir 800:
- Treatment of primary and recurrent infections of the skin and mucous membranes caused by the Herpes simplex virus;
- Suppression of the recurrence of infections caused by the Herpes simplex virus in patients with normal and weakened immune systems;
- Primary and recurrent infections caused by the Varicella zoster virus.
Adult patients for the treatment of primary infections and recurrences of Herpes simplex of the skin and mucous membranes are prescribed 200 mg 5 times a day. The duration of treatment is usually 5 days. In severe cases, longer treatment may be required.
